Stake rules and terms explained for players in Pakistan

The Terms of Service of Stake online are long, but a handful of rules decide most real situations: who may play, how deposits must be wagered, what a bonus requirement means and how void or cashed-out bets are settled. This page summarises them in plain English. The full English text on stake.com is the binding version.

Operator and licence

Stake.com is owned and operated by Medium Rare N.V., a company with its head office at Seru Loraweg 17, B, Curaçao, registration number 145353. It is licensed by the Curaçao Gaming Authority under licence OGL/2024/1451/0918. Some payments may be processed by wholly owned subsidiaries. Wherever the Terms refer to the operator, they mean this company. Disputes, account decisions and the interpretation of rules follow these Terms, so it is worth knowing which company stands behind the brand before you deposit — and it is the reason messages from any other company claiming to be the operator should be ignored.

Who can play: countries and age

Clause 14.3 lists the prohibited jurisdictions where real-money play is not offered: Afghanistan, Alberta, Argentina, Austria, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, the Cayman Islands, Colombia, Croatia, Cuba, Curaçao, the Czech Republic, Cyprus, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Italy, Liberia, Libya, Lithuania, Malta, Mexico, the Netherlands, North Korea, Ontario, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovakia, South Africa, South Sudan, Spain, Sudan, Syria, Sweden, the United Kingdom, the United States and Zimbabwe. Pakistan is not on the list. The restriction applies to anyone physically located in those places, including visitors.

  • Age: 18, or the local age of majority or gambling age if it is higher.
  • Sanctions: people on US, EU or other sanctions lists cannot use the service.
  • VPN and proxies: clause 14.4 treats hiding your location or giving a false residence as a breach.

Local law is a separate question. Pakistan has no licensing regime for online casinos, so each player should check the rules that apply to them. Questions about the Terms themselves can go to the 24/7 live chat.

Deposits must be wagered once

Every deposit — crypto or local currency such as PKR — has to be wagered 100% before it can be withdrawn or tipped to another player (ToS clause 8.5 for fiat). If you deposit 10,000 PKR, you need 10,000 PKR in bets first; the progress bar is shown on the withdrawal screen. Sports bets count towards this only when they are settled, not when placed. The rule is an anti-money-laundering measure, not a bonus condition, and withdrawing without betting is treated as coin mixing. Swapped coins are treated as new deposits with the same requirement.

Bonus rules

Most Stake rewards — rakeback, weekly boosts, monthly bonuses — can be withdrawn without extra wagering once they are above the minimum withdrawal. Deposit bonuses offered through some affiliate codes are different: they come with a deposit bonus requirement. In the operator's own example, a $100 deposit plus a $100 bonus at 30x requires $6,000 in bets. While that requirement is active, withdrawals and tips are blocked; it ends when the bar is full or when the bonus currency balance is used up. A new deposit made during an active requirement is counted into it. The welcome code must be entered within 24 hours of registration.

Sports and cricket betting rules

How common sports situations are settled
SituationSettlement
Match cancelled or abandonedBets generally void, odds 1.00, stake returned
Market undecided (player retires, game not resumed)Bets on that market may be void
Incorrect offerMay be voided under the sportsbook rules
Void leg in a multiThat leg counts as 1.00, the rest stands
Void leg in a Same Game MultiWhole slip void
Stake Shield multiRecalculated if a leg is void

Cash-out is not guaranteed. It is unavailable when a market is suspended, when odds change during the cash-out delay, on Same Game Multis, on events without live coverage, and for player props once the event is live. Cricket markets such as “Winner (Incl. Super Over)” settle on the official result including any super over, so read the market name before betting.

Account and verification rules

The compliance team may request documents at any time, and withdrawals in PKR require KYC level 2. Documents must be original photos, not screenshots, valid for at least three more months and in Latin international format. Payment methods must belong to the account holder, and PKR withdrawals go only to methods already used for deposits. Account closure is possible at any time; full deletion is not, because some data must be kept by law. Buying or selling accounts, including so-called “verified” ones, is risky: the documents on file belong to someone else, and every withdrawal depends on them.

Rules FAQ

Is Pakistan on the Stake restricted list?

No. The prohibited jurisdictions in clause 14.3 of the Terms of Service include countries such as the UK, the US, Germany, France, Spain, Australia and Afghanistan, but not Pakistan.

Can I use a VPN?

No. Using a VPN, proxy or false address information to get around geo-blocking is a breach of the Terms (clause 14.4) and can lead to the account being closed.

Why can't I withdraw right after a deposit?

Every deposit must be wagered 100% before a withdrawal or tip. For example, a 5,000 PKR deposit needs 5,000 PKR in bets first.

What happens if a cricket match is abandoned?

Bets on a cancelled or abandoned match are generally voided and settled at odds of 1.00, so the stake is returned. In a multi bet only that leg is voided; in a Same Game Multi the whole slip is void.

What is the minimum age?

18, or the legal age of majority or gambling where the player lives, whichever is higher.
